October 24th
Students were reminded about the deadline tomorrow for all extra credit and late/missing assignments. All of this is due in the basket by the end of class tomorrow. They were also told that the last open lab time is today after school until 3:30. Students were given the rest of class time to make-up and finish assignments for clothing or any other class. They were also allowed to use my computer to look up their grades in this or any other class.
October 25th
Students were reminded about the deadline today for any late/missing assignments and extra credit. This is all due into the basket by the end of class. There will not be another open lab time after school until next term. Students then learned about different kinds and sizes of pins and needles. They also learned about different hand stitches, which they will work on after the fall break. Students had enough time to cut their pieces of fabric for the samples. We will work on the samples themselves next Wednesday.

Students were given all of class time to finish their serger samples, which are due at the end of class today. Any extra time they had was to be used to finish any other assignments that they needed to. They were also reminded of October 25th, which is the last day I will take any late/missing work and extra credit. This is all due in by the end of class on this day. They were also told that the last open labs will be today and tomorrow until 3:30. Students were also warned that if they did not have pillow fabric and stuffing by Thursday, this would not be added to their grade, since it was due during this term. Pillows will be completed and scored during next term.

Students were reminded about the upcoming deadline for late/missing work and extra credit, which is Thursday, October 25th at the end of class. All sewing projects must also be turned in by this date, also by the end of the class period. They were then given the rest of class time to work on three serger samples, one diamond/square for straight seams, one state of Utah for doing an inward corner, and one melon for curves. These are due tomorrow (Friday) at the end of class.

October 17th
Today was the last day students were given in class to work on their fleece hats. Most students finished and moved on to creating fleece scarves or extra hats for extra credit. Students who did not finish were those who were not prepared with their fabric and missed class time to work on their projects. The lab is open after school from 2:30 to 3:00 Tuesday thru Thursday for students to catch-up. Pillow fabric and stuffing is due on Friday. Students will be starting these sometime next week.

Students were also reminded that the sewing lab is open from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday thru Thursday for their use to work on missing assignments and projects. Due to my Masters class schedule, other times to open the lab would have to be arranged with me in advance.

October 9th
Students were introduced to different ways to finish seams on Thursday. We reviewed these seam finishes today and students started on four samples showing each seam finish they learned. They will finish this assignment on Thursday. Their fleece hat fabric is due tomorrow and students should be to class around 11:00 from Reality Town. This is just enough time to take role and give them points for their fabric, then store it for Friday. If Reality Town runs over, students will be graded on their fabric on Thursday instead.
